It was a wonderful experience. Our host, June, met us at the corner of the street and led us to the tea room. We were a small group so it was an intimate and personal experience. June thoroughly explained the history and talked about the ritual in perfect English. There were also some very delicious sweets available. We were also welcome to take photos. Overall, it was a great experience to get a glimpse of Japanese tradition.

I’ve lived in Kyoto before and it was fun! March 2024 • Our family guide Asuka is the best! Lunch was delicious and you can eat lots of vegetables. I learned a lot of things I didn’t know about Kyoto, and it was fun! It’s a little late, but Asuka-san would definitely go there again!

During Golden Week, my husband and I participated in a Japan panoramic tour. We were able to efficiently visit important spots scattered throughout the city, such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Sanjusangen-do Temple, Tenryu-ji Temple, Sagano, Togetsukyo Bridge, Arashiyama, Kinkaku-ji Temple, and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, by bus. Our guide, Lanny, entertained everyone with her perfect guidance. Thank you for all the good memories 😊

Mr. Taku’s guided tour was in easy-to-understand English, and I enjoyed Kyoto while remembering my trip to America several years ago. I will use them again when overseas business partners ask me for sightseeing. 😊

I was looking forward to staying in Osaka and seeing Kyoto and this was the ideal trip for me. With Yurika Guide, we saw all the attractions and kept a close eye on our group. We also had some very nice Japanese food. Great day! Kyoto is a big city and the main tourist attractions are spread out, so it’s difficult for me to negotiate with limited transportation in Japanese. Points to note. This is a long day from Osaka. m until 6:30 p.m. m. There is quite a bit of walking and you need to be prepared. It was very warm and sunny, it was early October, so check the weather, sunscreen, water, etc. And wear comfortable shoes.

We had a wonderful day in Kyoto.
Aki is a professional and knowledgeable guide who planned the perfect itinerary around the beautiful city of Kyoto. She arranged for a professional and friendly driver who took us safely to various sights. I recommend this tour to everyone.

Our guide, Shoji, is originally from the area and is passionate about local history. He is knowledgeable and our He answered many questions. His English is excellent. Communication via email was good before and during the visit. We never felt rushed and were able to see all of the locations we chose (although there were some last minute changes due to unexpected closures). I strongly recommend it.

Aki was a great guide. she is very polite
Before we arrived, she did a tremendous amount of research to ensure our day with her was perfect. She contacted a local potter who I was interested in and allowed me to visit his shop before it opened. He arranged it for me. One of our family members uses a wheelchair, and Aki-san called all the tourist spots we wanted to visit to confirm access routes and whether they were wheelchair accessible. .

Our tour guide, Yuka, planned a nice long walk that covered all the sights, culture, and scenery we wanted to see. Yuka-san, thank you for the wonderful tour.

I learned a lot from dressing up in a kimono, explaining about Bushido and the mansion, performing martial arts, using a wooden sword, cutting makiwara with a serious sword, and zazen. Everyone except me was from overseas, but they seemed very impressed. The staff recommended it to Japanese people as well. The mansion is about 260 years old, and its former owner was the chief executive of a prison near Nijo Castle, a position that was always hated by thieves, so the mansion was designed to prepare for attacks. I was also able to film myself swinging the sword, which made for a memorable two hours.

There are other samurai experiences in Kyoto, but if you’re looking for the real thing, I definitely recommend this one! The sword performance, set in a historic samurai residence and accompanied by live music of shakuhachi and Japanese drums, was so powerful that it made me feel like I was back in time to the Edo period. After the lecture using an actual Japanese sword, there is also a Zen experience. All the staff were very professional and I was impressed. This is an experience that we can confidently recommend not only to foreigners but also to Japanese people!

This is a type of event that mainly allows foreign tourists to experience Japanese culture, but I feel that from now on it is the Japanese people who are staying away from such experiences. I think this is a valuable opportunity to experience the culture connected to Japan’s important history.

Two elementary school boys experienced it. After the demonstration and instruction on sword handling, I was able to experience cutting daikon radish with a real Japanese sword many times, which was very satisfying. Later on, I received a lot of data of the very well-taken photos taken at that time. The interior of the quaint building has a fantastical atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve traveled back in time, and with the music of the shakuhachi and the helpful commentary from the staff, I was excited but also felt good and had a great time. . If you haven’t experienced it yet, definitely go! An experience like this is hard to come by! We highly recommend that you enjoy the heartfelt hospitality, valuable experiences, and samurai mansion that gives you a feel of the times!
Thank you very much for a truly enjoyable day.
